The Ultimate Feminist Etsy Guide: Scarborough Scribbles

It’s the last Saturday of Feb! Spring is officially on its way, which means getting all your spring essentials out. but do your essentials include the cutest little feminist accessories? No? Well they should. And if you’re here for those, I’ve got a killa Etsy shop you today.

Today’s Ultimate Feminist Etsy Guide feature is…

Scarborough Scribbles!

Scarborough Scribbles is run by the lovely Jen, a 28-year-old wife, and mother, who doubles as a successful small biz owner, and has been since 2017!

Scarborough Scribbles came to life after Jen not having any luck on the job hunt (we all feel you girl) so what did she do? She hired her damn self that’s what! What is even more inspiring is that Jen, having a plethora of mental and physical problems, instead of feeling sorry for herself (her words!) she decided to hire herself and inspire all of us!

I asked Jen some questions to find out more about the brains behind Scarborough Scribbles. Here is what I found!

Describe Scarborough Scribbles in 3 words…

Fun, feel-good, fearless!

What does feminism mean to you?

Feminism to me means equality, it means being who I want to be and empowering others to do the same. It means being a business woman being regarded just as awesome as choosing to be a mother (and vice versa.) Feminism is the fighting for the right to be, and not be patronised.

How does Scarborough Scribbles look to empower women and children?

I hope that my shop brings joy to those who view it. I want those who view my products to feel empowered and positive. I want them to feel important and loved! I literally just live for making people smile and reminding women that they are kick ass!

After absolutely falling a little bit in love with Jen and her drive and passion for empowering those around her, I had the pleasure to look through her Etsy shop where she has accumulated the world’s most amazing pin collection. These are just some of my favourites, because you know how much I love sharing Lav’s faves!

Thank you so much to Jen for being such an inspiring and wonderful woman. Remember to always support small businesses!

4 businesses will be added to the guide each month, so by the end of the year, we will have the ultimate feminist Etsy guide.

If you would like to be featured in this guide you can find my details on my contact page or reach me on my social pages.

  1. This was such a cool post! It’s actually an amazing idea, too (one that I haven’t come across so far). We need more posts like this out there, for definite. Feminism is great 🙂 I’m really liking the print art, too! I’ll definitely have to check out their shop.
