“Bacon – The Game” App

For the majority of the day, like all millennials here, I spend my time mindlessly scrolling through social media as a distraction from everything else. Whatever “everything else” may be. But, what happens when you need a distraction from social media? Is there a social media app that’s just… Not social media?

Of course, let’s not forget the “old school” distractions such as taking a walk, singing a song, climbing a mountain, just everyday stuff. But if you’re stuck on a train, someone breathing down your neck, and you simply have no option to take a walk or climb a mountain at that point, I will let you in on an app that has been keeping me entertained and laughing at my phone at the most socially unacceptable times (such as Monday mornings on my commute to work).

I found “Bacon – The Game”app while I browsed the gaming section on my app store, because the 2000+ levels on Candy Crush I had completed couldn’t please me anymore.

The game

The challenge of the game is to throw a streak of bacon, from a frying pan, onto several objects. It sounds simple enough, and it is. But that’s not the amazing part.

Let me tell you, no, let me show you, why this game app made me laugh. You’re not just throwing this streak of bacon at any object. You’re throwing it at everything.

I put the bacon on all of these things. But here are some of my ultimate favourites:

Bacon, oh bacon, you’re making me shaken

And can we just talk about that plaster that the pig has on its belly? Could that be the famous bacon streak? I think so.

And some more…

Because if you didn’t know already, bacon really does go with everything.

The downside: If you physically cannot handle the stress of not passing a level, you can choose to skip it by watching an ad.

I have no idea how many levels there are to this, it goes from one level straight to the other. I hope it never ends.

What’s your favourite distraction app?

  1. This game sounds absolutely hilarious, I have never heard of it before but I’m so glad you have introduced it to me! I love the cat one ahaha. I don’t play many games on my phone, I have Pokemon Go if that counts.. it definitely distracts me but it does mean I have to go out for a walk – but that’s not a bad thing I guess!

  2. Honestly I don’t have a distraction app but I’ve got Netflix to watch the latest series and my all time favorite movies from there! This Bacon app sounds fun, looks like I need to get this one too. Thank you for sharing love! Xx

So the only thing I’m thinking about now is a proper breakfast with real bacon, like the kind that clogs your pores and makes everything better – not the weird one they sell here in the UK. If my phone wasn’t utter crap I’d download this but I’m going to tell my mum about this because she loves apps like these.

This is the first I have heard of this app but it sounds weird and wonderful! Definitely a fun way to entertain yourself during the day, I’ll have to give it a try. X

  5. This is hilarious and beautiful and wonderful and OMG I LOVE BACON! Also in the “already passed the 2,000+ levels of candy crush” phase of life so I might just have to check this hilarious game out!!😍

This looks like fun! Being a (mad?) cat lady, I particularly like the bacon on the cat. (Don’t think it would stay on the cat with my two for very long though…) I used to play candy crush but it got too hard! Then I got addicted to Township but I played it so much I gave myself tennis elbow so had to stop!! Oops!
